The Meta Rose Chorale reaches out to children ages six (6) to twenty-four (24) for voice training and music enjoyment. Classes are in a group setting and are FREE to under-privileged children in the Detroit Metropolitan Area. Becoming a voice in the Chorale builds confidence and community growth.

JOIN A WORLD RAINBOW OF SINGING VOICES

The Chorale is an online/offline group of singers who will perform two or three-part harmony selections for events worldwide.  Music participation can serve as a foundation to the establishment of core values.

Vocal training and production with be under the direction of Dr. Mamie Smith.   Dr. Smith is a vocalist, pianist and holds Bachelors and Masters’ Degrees in Vocal Music with a Doctorate in Administration.  Initially, she will conduct all training and rehearsals.

META ROSE CHORALE MAKES PRACTICE PERFECT

Rehearsals will meet (tentatively) Saturdays from 2 PM to 3:30 PM, beginning August 2021.  If you or your child wishes to become a member, please contact us at 248 599 – 2827 or email admin@easzmusic.org.  Vocal flexibility and accuracy exercises will train student voices to be able to hit pitches with greater ease and accuracy. We are only interested in serious-minded singers, willing to attend rehearsals and learn the music given.

You will need access to the internet, but having a Zoom account is not essential.  Dr. Smith will send a link to connect to the rehearsals. 

All training is offered FREE of charge.

Music is a rainbow of rhythms and melodies and the Meta Rose Chorale will follow such diversity in the selection voices that make-up the Chorale.

DR. SMITH IS ALSO COO OF EDUCATIONAL ARTS SOCIETY (EAS)

In addition to teaching vocal production and performance, Dr. Smith seeks to create an atmosphere where students examine who they are, where they choose to go in the future and how they will get there, through self-analysis, determination, courage and inner growth, coupled with a chosen musical skill-set that will provide a pathway to future job opportunities and positive societal values.
